PETA

I know this isn't really something I should be doing since it isn't appropriate for my age, but I have to, because its a serious problem. Not that I'm saying we're them, its just an example of what we DON'T want to be.

PETA, People Ethically Treating Animals is an organization that, you guessed it, rampaging all over the U.S.A. on a campaign to make people treat animals better. It may sound like a pure-hearted cause at first, but when you delve deeper, you see they use ways questionable to achieve their goal, such as making parodies of beloved games (Pokemon Black and Blue, along with Super Mario Bros 2D Land, Tofu Boy, and Cooking Mama Kills Animals, anyone?) and asking towns such as Hamburg to change their name to things like Tofuburg. Although they have done nice things, such as giving money to the scientists trying to make cell-grown meat, look at some of their campaigns. If you're queasy, skip these images, for the sake of not soiling the carpet.

Locking "chicks" up in cages, clearly something not good for them.

Exaggerated images of humans ready for consumption (yuck!)

Naked women?! Seriously?

Yes, this is true, but please don't use those signs as bras.

More girls in cages. -.-

Oh, yuck! We get the message, okay?

Okay, no more disturbing images, sorry. I hope that you didn't puke during this, but we're not done yet.
There are other organizations that I simply don't have enough information on to say anything about, but they poison GROCERY ITEMS and do arson. There are reports of them demolishing trucks holding meat and freeing animals being tested on, even destroying research critical to helping mankind! Seriously, they make Pokemon's Team Plasma look like mere wannabes!
In case you didn't know, in Pokemon's world Team Plasma is basically PETA. They want to free Pokemon, achieving this by robbing, brainwashing, lying, and more, but that is minor compared to the real-world animal-rights activists.

Anyways, you may be wondering what I want to bring across, but I just showed you it. We may be humans, but sometimes we have to give up animal's lives, but we could learn a bit and be a bit nicer to animals. We certainly don't want to give our lives, but we need to make sure outside the grocery store and lab, we make sure animals are treated fairly. We don't want to be like PETA, we want to be like humanity.
Please don't be like them.

  1. It is a shame------that group is truly crazy, think of all the good they could do if they weren't so extreme and some are dangerous!

    1. Agreed. I wanted to inform more people about this, as it is a global problem. There are also YouTube videos and entire articles devoted the covering this, so we are't in shortage of info on these people. I appreciate your agreement with me, that these people deserve to know better.

    2. I totally agree with Tiggerkat!
What those people were saying is true, but...
      1. The things they do is seriously not right for public places
      2. Animals do not suffer as much as humans do, if you see what I mean. I.e. most animals don't mourn for their relatives, etc.

    1. Me neither. I wish they would protest about actual animal abuse, not abusing humanity in the process. These women deserve a better future, not just working for a pointless cause and embarrassing themselves. I would have to say they are a portion correct, because we need to stop abusing animals the way some people do. However, we do NOT need to become extremists to accomplish this. All we need to do is to treat animals fairly ourselves.

    1. Cool! I'm close to one, I only eat some meats and I restrain from eating anything I've seen alive. I also like Tofu alot. =P Also, they're doing tests to make meat from animal cells, so hopefully this will be all over soon.

    2. I only eat meat for food. I make it a principal never to eat meat for a snack. Eating meat for a snack just seems wasteful, doesn't it?

    1. I agree. I consider them righteous extremists because they have a very, very good point, but use questionable means. Agreed.

  5. Oh my gosh PETA. Don't even get me started. LOL Animals need to be protected, but being weird is not the answer...

Besides, PETA (in America at least) is extremely hypocritical, preferring to spend their money on protests rather than feeding the animals in their shelters. PETA puts down more animals each year than any other charity group that I know of. Most groups are rescuing starving animals off the streets while PETA is busy getting people to rename their town "Tofurkey."

  6. O.o
How is protesting about being vegetarian going to help anything??? Personally, I'm a vegetarian, but that's just my choice. I still think humans are basically meant to eat meat--it's not really 'animal abuse' to raise farm animals for food as long as the animals are treated well and have a good life. I think if they're going to be an animal charity, they should spend money fixing larger problems such as puppymills and stuff instead of disturbing advertisements. (And of course killing animals just to make fur clothes is a serious problem, but weird signs with naked women isn't going to solve any problems o.e)
